Principal's Message

I warmly welcome you to St Joseph’s Catholic School, Mount Isa.

I am very proud and feel privileged to lead and serve such a well-established, organised and friendly school community. Our school offers a wonderful variety of learning experiences for all students. Our professional and committed staff cultivate a contemporary learning environment that aims to teach the whole child – academically, socially, spiritually. I firmly believe each and every one of our students has a variety of rich talents, gifts and interests. When these are affirmed and encouraged in a spirit of openness, respect and trust, we build fine young people.

St Joseph’s is diverse in almost all aspects. Our community includes families from different cultures, different religious faiths and different economic backgrounds. We are proud of this diversity and made richer because of it. 

Our school community is truly special. We strive to support each other, work with each other, live in harmony with each other, all for the wellbeing of our students who are our primary focus. It is my strong belief that schools do not succeed by themselves, your involvement as a parent is essential.
